What should I expect during direct testing?
Direct testing involves working with an examiner to complete several short tests that can include puzzles, word games, memory tasks, as well as reading, writing, and math tasks.
The evaluation is completed in a one-on-one setting, at the Illuminations office. Parents are asked to sit in the waiting area and remain in the building while their child is being evaluated. Testing time can range anywhere from three to four hours to complete.
What happens after direct testing?
After direct testing is complete the examiner will score, analyze, and write a report explaining the results of the evaluation. The evaluation report will be provided in two weeks from the date that direct testing is complete, and the examiner will review the testing with you.

At this time Illuminations does not offer tutoring services. Personalized recommendations are included in the evaluation report for clients who have an evaluation completed with Illuminations.
When and Where does testing usually happen?
Direct testing typically occurs on Saturdays at the Avant Garde offices in College Station, TX.
